Make Your Own Stationary

The handwritten note is still alive.  Make your stationary more personal with a work of art that you have created.  If you have children, this is a great idea to do with their works of art!

Take a photograph of your painting. Load the image onto your computer and edit the photo to be exactly what you would like printed on the card. Put onto a flash drive and take to a store that has printing services. At the store ask to print four, 3" x 5" pictures on a piece of white card stock. One piece of card stock will make four images which will be four cards. Craft stores have 4 ½" x 5" blank colored cards and envelopes. Use glue dots (something you can also get at the craft store) to mount the images to the cards. Put 6-8 cards and envelopes in a clear bag with a ribbon around the top and give as gifts or just enjoy them yourself.

Pictured are three of Danielle's cards.  She sells her work at The Charmed Life next to Hobby Lobby in Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY.

When is Summer Coming?

The Arboretum Goldfish, oil on canvas, 11" x 14"

In addition to paint parties, the gals of Ele Paints-- Meg, Carrie, and Danielle-- like to create.  Do you remember the warm days of summer?  Do you remember the long days of daylight?  Meg's latest painting was inspired by one of those summer days at the local arboretum.  The flowers, gardens, fountains, people, and foliage of the arboretum are a real source of inspiration.  Of particular interest is the goldfish pond.  Her children love to make ripples with their sticks and watch the fish dart to and fro.

Meg sells her paintings.  Check out her Blog tab "Meg E." to see some of her other works.  Contact ElePaints@gmail.com for more information.

New Year, New Creative Inspirations

Danielle's three "little" ele painters created this triptych "Funny Girl" portrait!

Laura (10) painted the head,
Sarah (12) painted the body, and
Caroline (7) painted the legs and feet.
Once completed, the girls tied the canvases together with ribbon and hung. Didn't it turn out so cute!
Happy New Year from Ele Paints!
